Grant Writer Intern Needed for Cool Hip Hop Program

Posted by d@dagha.com on June 5, 2014 at 10:55 AM

You’ll be a self-starter who identifies, creates and writes grant proposals that solicit funding for our ground-breaking values-based youth education program designed to teach at-risk kids life skills through the Arts. You will need your own computer and have at least basic MS Office skills. Since we are a start-up nonprofit, we can’t pay you, BUT we can give you free career and/or life coaching and presentations skills training. We are certified professional coaches and senior level organizational development consultants with deep experience to help guide you to a solid future path.

Responsibilities

· Write proposals, follow-up, track and report on progress

· Research new grant opportunities and maintain a list of prospects

· Track and meet all deadlines

Qualifications

We would prefer at least two years’ writing experience; of course, grant writing would be a plus. You should be well-organized, good with details and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Please submit cover letter and resume to Michele at msimos@rcn.com
